First Day Photos

Image
I disliked this picture because I thought it just wasn't a very good picture and it was too busy with the people in the background to the chairs. I picked this picture because I thought it was not a very good photo and it fit perfectly to be a bad photo. I personally didn't do anything to make it a bad photo but it is very busy with all of the people and the table it makes it look clustered and not planned out.  I liked this picture because it wasn't too busy but it wasn't too plain. This pictures shows a good contrast between colors and sun and shade which balances the photo very well.  I picked this photo because it was one of the best photo I took that day and it has good potential. This makes it a good photo because it isn't blurry, too busy, or has bad lighting it has a very good contrast with all of those things.

Avoiding mergers

Image
I chose this photo for avoiding mergers because it clearly shows mergers and it's very busy, more focusing on the people other than the main event that is taking place.

Framing

Image
This shows framing by the center piece or what the eye immediately goes to is the structure in the middle and the dark fog around it frames the picture.

Balance

Image
This photo shows balance by the contrast between the Twin Towers and the Empire State building but the background isn't too busy which causes distraction.

Lines

Image
This photo shows lines by the clear visual building with the debris in the background and it shows a clear contrast. The photo is busy but it has a very excellent visual of the rule lines and you can clearly know what rule this is by looking at the picture.

Rule of Thirds

Image
This photo represents Rule of Thirds by if you put a line graph on the photo the person is on the side of the photo and it shows how simple the picture is and it doesn't have to much distraction,

Simplicity

Image
This photo has simplicity because is doesn't have a lot of distractions and it focuses well on the attraction, the people and the colors along with the forest in the background.

welcome to my blog!

I decided to take Photo 1 because I have always been interested in journalism and photography and I thought this would be a very enjoyable class to take for me. In middle school I took Yearbook and Journalism and I was excited to hear that there was a Photo 1 class to take in High School. I absolutely love taking pictures, it is very fun and stress relieving for me and I am excited to learn about different ways to take photos and how I can make my pictures looking better.
