2018 Recap part 2

1. Best Song of 2018:  Delicate by Taylor Swift

This was personally my favorite song because it had a good beat to keep up with and Taylor Swift recently went incognito. She came back with a album called reputation and it sparked her comeback to music and tour. This song is my favorite and a good song because it wasn't to upbeat nor to slow and it made it onto top weekly songs, and top 100 songs of the year. 



2. Best Movie of 2018: Black Panther

This movie was my favorite and was the best of 2018 because first it was the first superhero movie to have all African-American lead roles including lead women roles as the warriors. I also really enjoyed watching this in theaters and I am not a huge fan of superhero movies, I haven't seen a lot and when I saw this movie it was instantly became won of my favorite movies because of the action, actors, and prompt of the overall movie.











3. Most Important News Story of 2018: Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

This was one of the most important news stories this year because it is a world wide event that is important for the royal family as well as countries all over the world that have relations towards the monarchy. The last Royal Wedding was with Prince William and Kate Middleton and that was about seven years ago. More reasons why this event was very important was because Prince Harry was the last "prince" to get married and have a chance to be heir of the throne.



4. Most Important Person of 2018: Meghan Markle

In my opinion Meghan Markle was the most significant person of 2018 because she became a new duchess in 2018. Besides marrying Prince Harry, she is an activist and an advocate for women's rights all over the world.








5. Most Important Sports Story of 2018: Naomi Osaka Upsets Serena Williams in US Open

This is the most important sports story of 2018 because this photo shows the upset of Serena Williams in the US Open because of her arguing with the official about her "cheating". That isn't why she lost, Osaka played an amazing match against the favored sports star. During the ceremony Osaka broke out in tears because she thought the crowd was booing at her because she beat Serena and it ended it a feud between Williams and the official. The young tennis player deserved every second of winning and she beat her idol. Osaka also thought she needed to apologize to the fans after ruining Williams winning hopes, which absolutely breaks my heart that she apologized when she deserved the win.

My Winter Break:
1. Something I will remember that happened during break was my grandparents came bere from Canada and we had a lot of fun visiting and taking day trips to Gruene, New Braunfels, and Johnson City.
2. My Resolutions are to drink more water, don't procrastinate, and branch out with more things.
3. I am looking forward to new and exciting trips and possibly gaining new friends.
