Shutterbug Websites

Digital Photography School's intention is to offer a site where you can improve your technique, rather than relying on other photographers. This site has featured DPS and MakeUseOf and the supply sites to go to where you can see how to become a better photographer. The site is also divided into sections including, photography tips and tutorials, cameras and equipment, and post-production which the average viewer can learn from. I would add this to my bookmarks because it is a good way to learn tips out side of school while you are doing a prompt shoot. I would give it a rating of a four just because it isn't the best website I have ever looked at but, they did have really helpful tips and types if cameras and equipment you should use depending on your shoots. Something I learned from the Digital Photography School is learning on how to make your subject pop when you are shooting them. To do this successfully you need a balance of light by exposing them more than the background...

Selfies vs. Self Portraits

Image
1. A selfie is a picture that you take yourself using your phone or in some cases a camera. To determine whether the photo is a "selfie" is a picture taken by yourself. It is usually taken with a smartphone and then posted on social media. 2. A self-portrait is a portrait of an artist thats an representation taken through photographs, or painted. 3. Yes there is a difference. The difference is that a selfie is taken by you, you held the camera and took a photo of yourself. A self portrait is someone taking a photo or painting you. 4. I prefer selfies because they are quick and easy and you can take them with your phone. Also, when you are on vacation and want to capture the moment of you on a mountain or on teh beach you can do that easy by yourself. 5. I think that self portraits are more valuable because they are a more signified and mature way of taking a photo or painting someone else.

Phobia Project

1. A phobia is a extreme fear of something that causes extreme worry and sometimes anxiety.   Acrophobia- Fear of heights. Agrizoophobia- Fear of wild animals Hylophobia- Fear of forests. Lygophobia- Fear of darkness. Melanophobia- Fear of the color black. C:  One idea I have is I could do  Acousticophobia- Fear of noise. I cou; d;set up a lot of speakers in a darkish room to create suspense. Doing this may be difficult because I might not have enough bulky speakers to do this. There will be no human model just set up speakers.   The second idea I have is  Chirophobia- Fear of hands. For this phobia I could get my families hand in on circle or holding hands to make the idea of this phobia. Another possible way to create this photo is taking picture of my families hands doing something all together. For example, washing dishes or writing.  The third phobia idea I have is Trypophobia which is the fear of holes. I could easily take a...
