Final Exam Review

1. I use snapchat, instagram, and tik tok to create some sort of video. I use tik tok to create a music video almost every day. I use snapchat to take snip its of videos as well as instagram but I do not create it into a move or production. 2. The biggest difference I might encounter using a DSLR or GoPro compared to my phone is the camera settings and you need to figure out how to upload the photos from the GoPro and camera. With using your phone you can easily upload your images but with video using a camera it is more difficult. 3. I can document my spring break trip to Hawaii, a day in the life of Kaia, and pictures and videos of me and my friends. 4. Some ways I can use still images in my video is maybe using live photos, using photos in-between the videos and alternating with that. 5. I could voice record what I did on my trip if I used my trip or use a microphone.

Opinionated Writing

In the state of Texas, all students are required to take the STAAR test, a state standards in core subjects including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. In the fall semester, students are demanded to take a final and then in the srpoing the students need to take finals in all of their classes as well as STAAR tests. I do not personally agree with having students take standardized testing exams along with a final exam around the same time in the spring. At Bowie High Schools all grades are required to take the STAAR exam and a semester final. I strongly dislike the idea of having four exams as well as the final because I get stressed out and I am not a fan of  exam determining my academic level. Many outstanding students may nevertheless do poorly on a standardized test because STAAR results count for %15 of a student’s grade and may impact the student’s grade point average or class rank. For a student applying for competitive colleges like the University o...

Opinion Writing

1. One idea the writer gave in the Wide Range of Topics was to chose a conversational topic that is exciting and will get the readers adrenaline pumping. Or you could use news stories that will make you angry or laughing hysterically.  2. An idea in the opinion pieces is to absolutely draw the reader in and keep generalizations out. You also need to avoid using abstract expressions. Finally, showing not telling makes a more compelling essay.  3. Three suggestions the writer makes in Personal Essay and Craft is first to make connections like relating to poverty, unemployment, or abuse to make your essay stronger with real life scenarios.  The second scenario is to w rite as evocatively as possible, for example using your five senses.  Third is to have a good, defining hook that will get the reader's attention and draw them into the essay or story.

Nut Graf

A Nut Graf is a paragraph that throughly explains the depths of the story. The Nut Graf will furthermore explain why the story matters and why people should read the story. The word "Nut Graf" is a expression explaining "in a nutshell". The Nut Graf also justifies the point of the story by directing readers to supporting material that helps the reader see why the story is important. In most news stories, Nut Graf is written in the news style and is portrayed as a news story. Nut Graf also provides a transition from the lead and explains it and its connection to the rest pf the news story. Nut Graf is short for Nut paragraph. If you think your news story is good so far you need a Nut Graf and a lede to make the story even better than before.
