Questions: Interview on Naana
1. How did you feel when you heard the news?
I was excited and proud of myself because I thought I would never achieve this award again.
2. Were you shocked in anyway? Please explain.
Yes because I thought a lot of other people were going to get in other than me and I didn't know that it would be me again.
3. Who chose that you were the Student of the Month?
My Counselor chose that I was student of the month but my teachers recommended me.
4. Were you feeling positive about the award?
Yes because I worked hard to get it and spent hours a night studying.
5. Are there any prizes regards to the award?
Yes they gave me a pencil case as well as a big trophy so I can put it in my trophy case.
6. How did your parents react to the news?
They were very proud of me and believed I could do it even if I didn't show a whole lot of perseverance.
7. Have you ever gotten the award before? If so explain how it happened?
I got the award last year for being a hard working student and getting the highest finals average in all of my classes.
8. What goals did you make achieve this award?
I made sure to study every night and do well on my assignments as well as studying a lot during the weekends almost every hour.
9. Did you learn anything from this award? If so what?
I learned that working hard can pay off even if working hard doesn't pay off.
10. Did this award effect you specifically? Why?
Yes because I was congratulated for my hard work and it made me feel very good about myself and boosted my confidence way more than it was.
11. How did they present you with this award?
The office clerk called my math teacher and told me to go down to the office because there is a surprise for me.
12. How much time did it take outside of school to achieve this award?
It took a lot of time it requires putting in a lot of time outside of school to study but it will be worth it in the future.
13. How did you become student of the month?
I made sure I put in a-lot of time for school and made sure I got A's on all of my assignments and most of my hard tests.
14. Were there any long steps in achieving this award?
Making a lot of goals for myself and making sure I am achieving them.
15. How did your friends react to the news?
They were very proud of me and felt that I deserved it more than them because I would study during lunch.
16. Were you emotional?
I wasn't emotional but I was really shocked and got me by surprise.
17. What were your strengths in working to get this award?
Studying a lot and just doing all of my homework.
18. Why did you want this award?
I wanted this award because it would show all of the hard work I have been doing and everyone can see that.
19. What motivated you to get this award?
Going to a good college motivated me and to eventually get a scholarship
